Semax
A synthetic ACTH-fragment analog studied in cognition and neuroprotection research.
$35 USD per vial
Also known as: Semax, ACTH(4-10) analog
Overview
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone, described in the literature as lacking the hormonal activity of the parent molecule. It is investigated in models of learning, memory, and attention, and in neuroprotection research, where studies examine its relationship to neurotrophic factors such as BDNF and their signaling pathways. Most of the published evidence comes from laboratory and animal models, controlled human data are limited, and it is not approved by the FDA. It is offered here for research use only.
Research highlights
- A synthetic heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) fragment
- Studied for its role in models of learning, memory, and attention
- Investigated in models of neuroprotection
- Explored in research on BDNF-related neurotrophic pathways
- Evidence is mostly preclinical, with limited controlled human data
